It’s cool, no need to be sorry! I was just ranting at my frustration with politics in general 🙂
I’ve heard so many different views on it. It is. It isn’t. It’s only psychological. There was never any danger in the way that the U.S. used it. And so on. But honestly, I am all for it, if it is used against mass murderers who have information that could save thousands of lives and prevent future attacks. I also find it ironic that President Obama was Bush’s biggest critic for the use of waterboarding, and yet he now all of a sudden is in favor of it now that he sees that it works. For those of you unaware, the only reason Bin Laden was found and killed, was because of the waterboarding of 9/11 terrorist Kaleid Sheik Mohammad several years ago during the Bush Administration. If it wasn’t for the waterboarding, Bin Laden would still be alive today. And also, if Obama had his way from the beginning with his stance against it, he would likewise still be alive. It bothers me the way he took credit for Bin Laden’s death, when everything that lead to his finding was accomplished by Bush. And now he’s using it as a personal victory for him and a reason for why people should re-elect him. -____-
But anyway, I’m not really sure if I consider it torture or not, but either way, I am in favor of the use of it against murderers if it saves lives. Here’s another useful article on the topic.
Question: “What does the Bible say about torture?”
Answer: Torture can be defined as “the infliction of intense pain to punish, to coerce, or to [Read more…]
As I said, he deserves credit. I just don’t think he deserves as much as he made himself out to get. He personally went down hard on the Republicans during Bush’s entire terms for not getting him, and for being in the war. So I commend the Republicans for giving him credit and saying good job. Because they did more than he did to them. And if you read many other Republicans posts about it, they also say, “Where is the credit to the Bush Administration?” I just get the impression from him that he is more concerned with his own reelection, than he is with many issues at hand. (Such as going on Oprah last week, and fundraising for his reelection in several cities.)
I watched President Obama’s address to the nation the other night, and I was honestly a little bothered by it. He seemed to take a bit more credit for the operation, and glorify his own actions, rather than that of the military and intelligence agencies. There was a lot of:
“I directed… As the Commander in Chief, I did… I determined… I authorized… At my direction…”
He made it sound like it was all due in part to the successes of his administration. But what he didn’t tell the American public in his speech was that the evidence acquired that lead to Bin Laden’s death was found by the Bush Administration in 2007. It was also the enhanced interrogation techniques used by the Bush Administration that lead to the information. “Waterboarding.” Kaleid Sheikh Mohammad (9/11 Terrorist) released this information after he was waterboarded. President Obama implied that the previous administration wasn’t on top of things, and that it wasn’t until his administration came in that things got better. Yet, he continued the foreign policy, that Bush first enacted. Not only that, but the government knew where Bin Laden was a week before they enacted the mission. Also notice during that week, the White House decides all of a sudden to release [Read more…]
I don’t think the controversy is over/settled. I would like it to be, but there will always be people who persist with an issue. While half of the country may take this as the issue being settled, the other half will only have more questions. Like why is there no state seal on the document, or birth weight, like every other Hawaii birth certificate? How come it says ‘African’ instead of ‘Colored’ or ‘Negro’ on it, like all of the other birth certificates in 1961? Why is the document composed of separate layers, that can be seen and removed in Adobe Photoshop?
Those are just some of the ‘conspiracy theories’ I’ve read about in the past day, and I’ll admit, that some of it does seem a bit fishy to me. But I’m staying neutral on the issue. I want to wait and see what [Read more…]
Haha alright, then don’t make a big deal about it.
I certainly hope not! But there are many theories as to why the United States isn’t mentioned at all, specifically in the End Times portion. Some of the more popular theories are:
1. The United States does not play an important role in the End Times
2. The United States does not exist anymore when the Great Tribulation begins
3. Perhaps the United States is simply included with all the other nations that reject God in the end times (Revelation 10:11; 11:18; 12:5; 14:8; 15:4; 16:19; 17:15; 18:3,23; 19:15).
I have read End Times books though that speculated on the destruction of the United States, or at least, the crippling of the United States. In this factional book (combines elements of fact and fiction), 5 U.S. cities were struck simultaneously by nuclear bombs. I believe they were [Read more…]
Do you mean in my own life? Or in life in general here on earth?
Let’s see, in my own life, 8 hours from now, I will probably be sleeping! 24 hours from now, I will be in a percussion ensemble rehearsal. A week from today at this time, I will be taking a percussion literature test, a month from now I will be on a local tour with West Chester University’s Percussion Ensemble, and a year from now, I’ll just be finishing up my 4th year of college! But in the in-between time, I will soon get to see some close friends again, I was invited to 2 weddings, I have a slim shot at making it to the semi-finals in the Percussive Arts Society’s 50th Anniversary International Soloist Competition, I am going back to my job performing at the resort ‘Camp of the Woods’ all summer, and I’m sure there will be much more happening than I am yet unaware of!
As for excitement around the world, that may be a bit different, as something that is ‘exciting’ isn’t always good. Some economists may say [Read more…]
This was forwarded to me. It was an actual letter written to President Obama by entertainer Pat Boone. I found it interesting.

Oh, I agree. The media is responsible for a lot of what happens in politics! I too, am in favor of Huckabee over Romney.
