I never said every founding father was a Christian. But many of them were. Among them William Bradford, John Adams, John Hancock, Samuel Adams, John Quincy Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, John Hancock, Patrick Henry, John Jay, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Thomas Paine, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and many others. Quotes from all of them can be seen here.
This is a very intense discussion you are asking about haha.
You have to understand where Islam comes from and how it is spread, versus how Christianity is spread. The principle of Christianity, and the way in which Jesus spread and his disciples spread the faith to everyone, was peaceful. They all went peacefully, non-violently, and spoke with love and kindness. They didn’t force anyone to convert or believe them. In fact, they were all persecuted for their beliefs. Christ was crucified, John the Baptist was beheaded, Stephen was the first martyr for Christ, and each of Christ’s disciples gave their lives, all dying by persecution from those that sought to silence them. Similarly, there are thousands of missionaries all over the world who do this exact same thing. Spreading the Gospel of Jesus peacefully, and putting their lives, even losing their lives, all to spread the truth about Christ. This is what Christians are called to do, to show love to everyone, and speak to anyone who will listen. [Read more…]
America was MOST DEFINITELY founded on Christian values. If it were not for Christians, America would have never even been founded, and we would not have the freedoms or liberties that we have today. But just because America is founded on Christian values does not mean it is a Christian nation today. I believe America has been straying further and further away from God ever since it was founded. Compare the way things are in America today and the values it stands for to how they were 100 years ago, and you will see vast differences. I firmly believe there are many, many Christians in America, but as a nation as a whole, I am starting to realize that in present day, no, we do not act as a Christian nation.
First, read this. Directly pertains to your question.
Genesis 22: 1-18 1 Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!” ”Here I am,” he replied. 2 Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah.Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about.” [Read more…]

Well first off a huge part of Christianity is faith. John 20:29 says: Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." God doesn’t always answer every prayer the way we want him too, but he will always answer. We will either get a ‘yes’, a ‘no’, or a ‘not now.’ As far as needing proof, maybe you have trouble believing, and it sounds like you are the type of person that will only believe with sight, or personal experience, and not simply faith. For that purpose I have written this article:
Another example of proof for me, is the awesome healing power of God. Just because your father was not healed when he wanted, does not mean that God does not heal. My father is also sick as well, has been his whole life, and has been praying for healing, but he still believes and trusts in God. There was a woman at my church who was paralyzed for something like 30 years. There was a healing service at my church one night, and the preacher prayed for her, that the healing power of God would come upon her and she would be healed. She was instantly healed. She was jumping up and down that night. I hope you find the proof you seek, and if my note, or talking to me can help with that in anyway, please feel free to contact me!
I would probably be Catholic then.
Thank you, I will! 🙂
If I had to choose, I suppose I would prefer fame. I don’t need money to make me happy, but if I am well-known, I can be more of a positive influence to those around me and to those who know of me.
